In this presentation Dr. Desai discusses the evolution of the management of Staghorn calculus using percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL), with the objective of having a stone-free outcome while achieving maximum preservation of kidney function. To reduce morbidity, he talks about the different combination approaches using miniperc, flexible ureteroscopy or flexible nephroscopy, including some tips and tricks. In addition, he also talks about the importance of cost-effectiveness.
